Nadine Holland

Secretary

 

Nadine Holland was born in Brooklyn, NY.  She attained her Bachelors Degree at Pennsylvania State University with a double major in Political Science and History.  She later went on to complete a Masters of Arts in Urban Education at Florida International University.  Mrs. Holland has been an educator for over fifteen years.  She has spent 6 years serving as the Director of Education and Disabilities for a Head Start program in New York City as part of the NYC’s Early Learn Initiative.

Mrs. Holland also actively advocates for early childhood initiatives and culturally responsive pedagogy in the classroom.  She is a member of the:

-Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), Division for Early Childhood (DEC),

-National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and

-National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI).

 

Mrs. Holland strongly believes that holistic education best prepares students for future success.  She has developed curriculum frameworks and instructional supports for agencies to better support teachers entering the teaching profession.  Mrs. Holland is certified in Birth through Secondary Education and has also received reliability in ECERS, ITERS, and CLASS instructional improvement tools.
